Multitasking

I just did a teeny tiny bit of sewing while wearing the baby! She slept through the ordeal, even though ole' Husky Helen is squeaking like a crazy person (erm, machine). (Am I supposed to be oiling my sewing machine? Is this some standard part of sewing machine ownership that I didn't know about?)

The confetti is from Michael's, left over from the baby shower invites.

I've started Project Life, and I'm excited to keep up on the scrapbooking for once, instead of always playing catch-up. I think it will be a lot more enjoyable.

Me:  okay, can we just try one more? Then I promise if it doesn't work we can stop.
Jon:  sigh.  Fine.

Me:  okay, one more. One more! It'll work this time...

Our Best Crafted Ever!

Today was a triumphant day.  Despite an epic blowout and a bath (our first without Jon), today for the first time in 2.5 weeks, I brushed my teeth before noon.  Thus, I decided that I have it together enough to revisit blogland.

Announcing: Sophie!  She was born on her due date, New Year's Eve, and she is the most beautiful thing to ever enter our lives.

She has tiny feet and ears and a great set of lungs, and she enjoys bodily functions as much as we do! It feels like she's been with us always.
